DMT : Ludhiana : (27 August 2023) : – In an inspiring session at SCD Govt College Ludhiana as arranged by its Maths Deptt. & Alumni Association, an Alumnus Gurdarshan Singh, IPS, (UP DGP Retd.) also an Ex Member UPPSC delivered a very motivating lecture which kept spell bound the PG students of the college preparing for various competitive examinations . He informed as to how he came from a rural background he first did PG Maths with brilliance, taught briefly in 1970s and then successfully topped both PPSC and UPSC exams and was posted in Uttar Pradesh to retire as DGP there and got many gallantry awards for working in difficult terrains.
He advised students to dream of a strong desire of success, plan well, remain laser sharply focussed and be persistent in hard work as success in life is never a straight-line achievement . We should never blame others for our failures, he said. Principal Prof Dr Tanveer Likhari , Dr Satya Rani, Dr Gursharan Singh Sandhu, Prof Mukesh Kumar, Prof. Vinita & Prof. Monica, Prof Geetanjli and a senior Ex Maths Teacher Prof Dr Manmohan Singh were present .
