- FIR No-118 Dated 27.06.2023 U/S 22 -61-85 NDPS Act Police Station Khanna City-2
DMT : Ludhiana : (29 June 2023) : – Mrs. Amneet Kondal IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Khanna, a special campaign was launched to nab bad elements. The team under supervision of Dr. Pragya Jain IPS, Superintendent of Police (I), comprising of DySP Karnail Singh PPS, Sub-Division Khanna, Inspector Kuljinder Singh, SHO PS City-2 Khanna, Inspector Amandeep Singh, In-charge CIA Staff Khanna, arrested 01 accused in the said case and recovered 24,850 Intoxicant Tablets from his possession. Action against drugs & bad elements will continue further by Khanna Police.
Inspector Kuljinder Singh SHO City-2 Khanna along with Police party was patrolling & checking suspicious persons at Pristine Mall Khanna. During the checking a suspicious person was stopped and questioned by SHO PS city-2 along with police party help of Police party. On being questioned, he told his name as Azad Singh @ Sunny s/o Balwinder Singh r/o Village Akalgarh Tapian, PS Jandiala Guru, District Amritsar Sahib. The said person gave his consent for checking in presence of a Gazetted Officer. According to law, DSP Karnail Singh, Sub Division Khanna came to spot and checked the said person. During checking of Azad Singh @ sunny, 24,850 Intoxicant Tablets were recovered from his possession. Accordingly, FIR No. 118 dated 27.06.2023 U/S 22/61/85 NDPS Act was registered and one accused namely Azad Singh @ Sunny s/o Balwinder Singh r/o Village Akalgarh Tapian police station Jandiala Guru, district Amritsar Sahib was arrested. The accused was produced before the court and Police remand was obtained. Further investigation of the cace is going on for forwards and backward linkages.
